Eds Baseball
The 'Cranbrook Eds' are a conditional franchise in the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL). The league is classified as 'summer collegiate', meaning the teams consists of players from NCAA or Canadian College/University, who choose to play for cities across Western Canada, and display their skills and talents for their new 'home town'.
The summer collegiate leagues allows the pre-draft players to hone their skills in preparation for the Major League Baseball draft, and provides summer entertainment to fans across North America.
The quality of play is considered similar to Single 'A' Minor League Ball, but beyond that - it will be affordable family entertainment for our community and region!
The Home Run Society is a registered non-profit society that formed in 2006 with the goal of promoting the sport of baseball in our region through the development of teams, the improvement of facilities, and the support of all those who play ball.
The Cranbrook Eds will provide the highest quality of baseball within our region, and will allow our local talented youth to stay in their homes while playing for family and friends.
The youth who play ball will now have heroes that they can model themselves after, while enjoying a hot dog and a pop on a warm summer night.
We look forward to bringing the Cranbrook Eds to life, and saying "play ball!" in 2013...
